Dragon Fist

This work is a tribute to Jay Chou — not only as a musician, but as a creator who helped shape the artist’s inner world while growing up in a small town. More than fame, what resonates here is Jay Chou’s ability to build an entire universe through his work, and his refusal to compromise his creative identity. For the artist, painting Jay Chou is not simply portraiture; it is a way of reflecting on his own journey of persistence, doubt, and becoming. Through music, memory, and image, this piece connects two different creative paths shaped by the same belief: that true influence comes not from pleasing the world, but from staying faithful to one’s own artistic voice.
